Description

The Thomas Crown Affair sees Michael B. Jordan direct, produce and star in a bold new reimagining of the iconic romantic heist thriller for Amazon MGM Studios. Reimagining the classic story for a new generation, the film blends high-stakes art thefts, sophisticated action and stylish romance against spectacular international locations, with London taking centre stage in several of the film’s most ambitious sequences. The film also stars Adria Arjona, Kenneth Branagh, Lily Gladstone, Danai Gurira and Pilou Asbæk, with acclaimed cinematographer Bradford Young behind the camera.

For the London aerial unit, The Aerial Film Company‘s Aerial Director of Photography Phil Arntz lensed the city at night, Camera Pilot Will Banks flew the AS355 with Shotover K1 gyro-stabilised camera system and Abi Hensby, head of operations secured enhanced low-level permissions to capture complex aerial sequences across the capital. Operating within one of the world’s most tightly controlled airspaces, the team delivered precision cinematography that allowed production to capture dynamic low-level perspectives of London after dark while meeting the demanding operational and regulatory requirements of the shoot.
