The Immortal Man
Description
The Immortal Man is the highly anticipated feature-length continuation of the Peaky Blinders phenomenon, expanding the scale and ambition of the series into a cinematic event for the big screen ahead of its Netflix release in March 2026. Set against the turmoil of wartime Britain, the film builds on the show’s unmistakable visual identity while pushing its world into darker, more expansive territory. Anticipation around the project has been intense, with fans and industry alike eager to see how the Shelby legacy translates into a standalone film under the direction of Tom Harper, with cinematography by George Steel.
The Aerial Film Company was proud to serve as the Helicopter Aerial Filming Supplier on The Immortal Man, delivering specialist aerial cinematography, aerial coordination, and wireless downlink services throughout production. Operating our AS355 helicopter equipped with the SHOTOVER K1 stabilised camera system, we captured dynamic aerial imagery designed to immerse the audience in the scale, atmosphere, and geography of the film’s world. Our platform enabled smooth shots across a range of flight profiles, from sweeping establishing moves to tightly controlled low-level passes, all while maintaining the visual texture and grit synonymous with the Peaky Blinders universe.
Central to this process was the close creative collaboration between our team, the director, and the cinematographer. Through pre-production discussions, location planning, and on-set collaboration via wireless downlink, our Aerial DOP helped refine shot design, pacing, and framing to ensure the aerial material complemented the ground photography seamlessly and served the story.
The Aerial Film Company provided aerial coordination in complex filming environments. This included low-level and reduced-separation permissions, allowing the aircraft to work safely and legally in challenging locations where conventional aerial filming would not be possible. These approvals, combined with detailed risk assessment and close integration with the production’s safety and assistant director teams, enabled us to deliver ambitious aerial sequences while maintaining the highest safety standards.
