Supergirl
Description
Supergirl introduces a very different Kara Zor-El—far removed from the hopeful idealism of her Kryptonian cousin. Inspired by Tom King and Bilquis Evely’s Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow, director Craig Gillespie presents a heroine shaped by loss, trauma, and isolation. This is a messier, harder-edged Supergirl, navigating the aftermath of Krypton’s destruction as she embarks on an interstellar revenge journey alongside Ruthye, with the scale and intensity of the story reflected in its bold, cinematic action.
The Aerial Film Company supported Supergirl with a full specialist aerial unit, supplying our Aerial DOP, camera pilot, aerial coordinator, and Shotover technician. Using our Shotover K1 stabilised camera system, we delivered high-performance aerial cinematography, alongside additional aircraft services and aerial stunts, helping realise the film’s dynamic airborne sequences and expansive sense of scale.
